# Vene Health

> Vene is a proactive health assistant for patients and families managing ongoing care. With the patient’s consent, it connects to health and insurance records, notices work that is slipping, talks with patients by call or text, and helps follow through on appointments, referrals, refills, insurance, and approved errands while keeping the right people informed.

Vene serves patients, family caregivers, and care organizations that need care work to continue between visits. It can organize records and conversations, reach out by call or text, help with approved administrative tasks, and share useful updates with the people the patient has chosen.

## Safety limits

Vene does not diagnose, prescribe, decide medical necessity, replace a clinician, or provide emergency services. It acts only with the patient’s knowledge and within the permissions available for each task.
