About Vene

Proactive support when you can't be there.

Our Mission

Vene is a proactive wearable support system designed to bridge the gaps in caregiving. We combine real-time health monitoring with AI-driven voice intervention to provide continuous support for patients — even when their caregivers can't be physically present.

The Problem

Caregivers can't be there 24/7. Whether it's a family member caring for an aging parent, or a professional overseeing multiple patients, there are always gaps. Existing solutions only react after something has already gone wrong — a fall detected, an emergency button pressed. By then, the moment of intervention that could have prevented escalation has already passed.

What We Build

Detect — A wearable (Apple Watch) continuously monitors heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen, and movement patterns to identify early signs of distress.

Support — When distress is detected, an AI voice agent proactively reaches out to the patient with personalized, calming support — no button press required.

Escalate — If the situation requires human attention, caregivers are immediately alerted with full context so they can respond effectively.

Our Approach

We believe technology should preserve dignity, not replace human connection. Vene is built with a privacy-first architecture — health data stays secure, voice sessions are processed in real-time without unnecessary storage, and patients always retain control over their experience. Every interaction is personalized to the individual, learning their preferences, routines, and needs over time.

Where We Are

Vene is based at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA. We're building at the intersection of wearable technology, artificial intelligence, and compassionate care.
