About Vene

A calm, proactive caregiver, built on the devices a home already has.

Our Mission

We started Vene because the hardest part of caring for an older loved one is rarely the emergencies. It is the quiet hours, the small spirals, the moments they just need someone there. Our mission is to make those moments feel less alone, without asking anyone to wear a new device or learn a new app.

The Problem

Caregiving today still leans on tools built for emergencies. Pendants, panic buttons, and apps that wait for someone to fall, get lost, or call for help. But families know the truth. Most of caregiving happens in-between. The forgotten meal, the long evening alone, the bad night that nobody catches in time. Whether you live across the country, across town, or in the same house and stretched too thin, those moments still go unanswered.

What We Build

Listen. Vene weaves together signals from any wearable they connect, the rhythms of their day, and check-ins you schedule, so it knows when to reach out.

Talk. When something nudges it to check in, Vene calls your loved one on a normal phone call. A real conversation, in a calm voice.

Remember. Vene remembers their family, their music, their stories, and the small things that matter. Every conversation already knows them.

Act. Soft, specific, on time. Music in the living room, a dimmed bedside lamp, a quiet note to you. Vene uses the devices already in the home to do what is needed in the moment.

Our Approach

We believe technology in caregiving should preserve dignity, not replace human connection. Vene is built with privacy at the center. Conversations are encrypted, kept only as long as they are useful, and never sold. You and your loved one stay in control of what Vene remembers and can clear it whenever you want. Nothing is locked behind new hardware. Vene runs on the phones, speakers, lights, and wearables a family already trusts.

Where We Are

Vene is based in San Francisco, California, with roots in Georgia Tech. We are building at the intersection of voice, language models, smart home, and compassionate care.
